About Me

Welcome to my home page. I am Hassan Mohammed. A lecturer with the Department of Purchasing and Supply, in the College of Business & Management Studies (CBMS), Kaduna Polytechnic, Nigeria. I am a Nigerian, born November, 8th 1967 in Zaria, Kaduna State of Nigeria.

I attended my primary and post primary schools in Zaria between 1974 - 1985, before proceeding to Kaduna Polytechnic, Kaduna and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), for my National Diploma in Business Studies, Higher National Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management, Post Graduate Diploma in Management and MBA.

I started teaching in the Department of Purchasing and Supply of (CBMS), Kaduna Polytechnic in 2002. I am also a management consultant, with special interest in Procurement, Marketing, Strategic Management and Human Resource Management. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management - Nigeria (CIPSMN).

I have authored three books:

- Purchasing for the Tyro - ISBN 978-978-085-916-9,

- Business Management - ISBN 978-978-085-917-6 and;

- International Business: An Integrated Approach - ISBN 978-978-49799-0-0.

I am currently working on my fouth title:

Purchasing and Supply Chain Management - ISBN 978-978-49799-1-7 (2011).

I enjoy listening to or watching radio and TV programmes. My favourite programmes are news and current affairs, mainly programmes by British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), especially News Hour, Global Business, Business daily, World Have Your Say, Sports Round-Up, World Football and Sports World, Hard Talk etc whenever I can; and CNN's Political Mann, Situation Room, State of the Union, Fareed Zakaria GPS, My favourite presenter of all time is Alistair Cooke of BBC's famed programme - Letter From America.

I watch American movies and television series too. My all-time favourites are 12 Angry Men and Brotherhood of the Rose. I listen to all types of Music.

Aside teaching and research, I am football enthusiast. I have played and followed football all through my life. I have played for some few years in my country's amateur and professional football leagues. In the international football scene, I have supported Tottenham Hotspur Football Club of England since the age of 15 (1982).
